The couple met back in 2012 at a mutual friend’s home, and none thought it would be love at first sight for them, which later saw a bridge to marriage. But, by that time, the Dallas Mavericks point guard was already facing financial struggles- a hard time living. Suzzette Madden knew all about it, but this couldn’t stop her from developing affection for West.

Shortly after dating, they moved in together in the former NBA star’s house in Fort Washington; the 8-bedroom house was allegedly worth $1 million. Reportedly, as West went unemployed, they could not afford a water heater but used a stove to heat the water instead.

However, it never proved a hurdle to the couple who married in 2013 with vows of ‘acceptance no matter what’ in an intimate wedding ceremony. In fact, the former basketball player had proposed to Caressa, putting a jump rope on her finger, as he couldn’t afford an engagement ring.

After a few months of her wedding with West, Caressa Suzzette Madden welcomed her first child, Cash West, in 2013. Moreover, they became parents to another son in 2014 but have not opened up much about their second child.
