Television Personality Nicole Franzel, popularly known as the winner of Big Brother 18, is currently under fire for choosing a Mask-less wedding. Being in the Limelight, the recent wedding of Nicole and husband Victor Arroyo brought quite a controversy.

Big Brother’s fans are not happy as the couple tied the knots Mask-Less during the Covid-19 pandemic when the couple is expecting a child. Nicole is currently under fire for neglecting the safety of the guests, herself, and the baby at such a sensitive time.

When Did Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo marry?

Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo married on March 16, 2021, with few guests in Orange Lake, Florida. The couple met as co-stars on Big Brother 18 and were seen romantically involved after the show ended. Victor proposed Nicole with a romantic event which aired as a Big Brother 20 special episode.

In early January, Franzel took to Twitter to announce that the couple was expecting their first child together. The couple planned their wedding in mid-2020 but later pushed it to December of 2020 due to the pandemic. However, they rescheduled the wedding again since their wedding venue did not open. Nicole and Victor finally married in March after postponing their wedding three times.

Attendance at Wedding

Few of the Big Brother and Amazing Race alum’s were in attendance at Nicole and Victor’s wedding. A few of the alums present were Amazing Races’ Leo Temory, Bret LaBelle, and Big Brother’s Memphis Garrett, Josh Martinez, and Christmas Abbott. Many of her Big Brother alum missed the wedding due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Janelle Pierzina’s Twitter post

When the heat from the Mask-Less wedding was increasing, Nicole’s ex-friend Janelle Pierzina caused another controversy to erupt by her Tweet after Nicole Franzel and Victor’s wedding. Janelle and Nicole seemed friendly while competing on Amazing Race 31, but Janelle stopped liking and trusting Nicole from the show itself.

The feud increased with the show Big Brother 22 and Nicole even uninvited Janelle to the wedding. Janelle has constantly shown her dislike towards Nicole and mocked her about her pregnancy, gameplay, and wedding. On September 1, 2020, Janelle tweeted

Just received my invite. 3k for hotel so Nicole’s reception and hotel stay can basically be comped. Glad I don’t have to go. I hate cheap ass weddings where the go to song is Cotton Eyed Joe.

Janelle returned to Twitter after a month of deactivating her account. She then bashed Nicole again with a tweet expressing how cheap her wedding was. She tweeted “ I heard Cotton Eyed Joe was played and green jello salad was recently served.

Support From Fans and Friends

Apart from these, many fans and Janelle bashed Nicole for having a non-diverse group of bridesmaids. However, many fans supported her as well and were annoyed at how she gets hate for almost anything.  Danielle Reyes, a runner up from Big Brother 3 also defended Nicole through a tweet stating

“ It’s a lovely photo of a bride surrounded by her friends. I like it. I think it is fair not to judge people because they don’t hang around a diverse group. I’ve seen many photos with the bridal party is all African American, Chinese, and Hispanic but we say nothing… Lovely photo. “

Victor and Nicole have stayed silent amidst all the controversies surrounding her marriage. Nicole has been updating fans with pictures of her wedding and honeymoon on Instagram.
