Easy to use smoker. Really nice that you can watch and control the smoker from your smart phone. Had this smoker for 3 years now & am extremely happy with it. You can open the grated and char items also.

Pitboss pelet smoker has been great! highly recommend..I did add the digital controller to be able to use the app.

cant update passed 6% which means i cant connect my app. useless.

the app keeps saying it was not able to update the grill. it gets stuck on 2 percent and fails. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried updating the grill 10 times, unplugged and replugged my grill and still nothing. please fix.

App is a very helpful companion. It's awesome being able to monitor the temp of the grill and the food without having to get up and go check. The recipes are a wonderful addition. The how-to videos are well done and helpful. One feature I would like to see is being able to see the temp at the top of the screen when another app is on top.

Lacking its luster. the controls on the app are minimal and the data transfer has roughly 15 seconds of lag time. it would be really nice to have the ability to read the humidity in the chamber, it would be nice to have the ability to activate the auger from the app. maybe a built in scale for the hopper so you can see what's in there during a long slow cook. it took me about 45 min to realize that my chamber temp was going down due to bridging. no alarm, no notification, no nothing...

The Pit Boss app allowed me to take care of the complete smoking process of 2 pork shoulders while there was severe thunderstorms with lightning and extreme downpours all from the comfort of my recliner.
