Updated reply: a fellow by the name of John Andrew in the live chat of customer service at OnStar helped me with the compatibility issue. It turns out anybody with an Android phone that has recently upgraded to One UI 8.5 for Android 16, is going to have a problem with the app not being compatible with your device. All you need to do is clear the cache, clear the data, uninstall and reinstall the app and it will work fine. Cheers to good customer service! He was very friendly too!
this app sucks. It stays frozen and is not able to track our loved ones. You can delete it and add it back it doesn't matter it still doesn't work.

Guardian should stay logged in on this device, similar to my Amazon and Google apps. But it doesn't. Guardian is not useful in an emergency if I need to look up my password, enter my phone number, and verify a code. What sense does that make? My spouse has short-term memory issues, so I am removing Guardian from her device because it is useless to her in this condition.
be careful. almost impossible to unsubscribe. can't do it through the app or over the internet. u call, they say use the app. i had to order a new debit card. didn't even use the service once. and over priced. looking through the other reviews I'm not the only one with this issue. on star is a scam. look at the 1 star reviews. they probably used a bot farm to get this close to 5*. look at yelp or something they can't control reviews on.
this app is not honest try offering roadside assistance trial but u can't use it until after the 30 day trial period ends then u got to pay for subscription before u can request it's unprofessional false advertisement
Onstar is generally GREAT! No issues using the service and comforting to have it on hand. What I dislike is that GM(and Onstar) has imbedded most common new car features in your GM car as a subscription product! Most every aspect of your vehicles safety systems ( and entertainment) require a hefty monthly subscription if you want to keep them all active.... again it's a great service but has become bloated full of... and in control of about every feature you hope to enjoy in your new car!
