The app works fairly well for the most part. It is a little frustrating though for it to constantly ask me to view the tutorial when I've watched it twice already. Also when I customize my ride, the regenerative braking sets itself to off and disables the kick-to-start.

fails to connect via BLE when in background. so, alarm goes off even though I have my phone with me, and can't unlock the scooter without opening the app. I would have bought a different scooter had I known the NIU stuff is so buggy.

products are garbage. claiming over double what distance they actually get. bought one that said 20 mile range, got 7. 7!

The app shows my riding data only after 5 hours after I completed my ride because the timezone inside the scooter is set to China timezone. No way to adjust scooter timezone. I always ride offline and just connect the app to turn on and off my niu air. Otherwise, the app is alright, there are options to set kick start speed, max speed in each mode, alarm sounds on/off.
