Early Age

Like any high-class child, Morleigh Steinberg was born and raised in Los Angeles under the shadow of the famous lawyer of LA, Robert, and an Interior designer mother. Her mother has a filmy background who came up to this from Universal Studios.

Morleigh has two lovely sisters with the name Roxanne, and another one is Eliza. She belongs to a Jewish Family. Moreover, the future choreographer has taken her education from Beverly Hills High School. During her school days, she also became a part of their Advance Dance group and eventually started learning modern dance techniques.

After completing high school, Morleigh attended Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. However, her education duration was just two weeks, and she left the college for dance training and fulfilled her career objectives.

Career

After leaving the College, Steinberg took one year of training in the dance institute in Paris. After gaining much experience in dancing, she established a dancing studio, MOMIX is a partnership with several dancers. However, the company did not stay for long and collapsed due to financial insecurities.

Furthermore, Morleigh again started another company named “ISO.” However, a dance company later made her a member of U2’s dancing crew. Her career’s main turning point was as she appeared in the song titled ‘With or Without You.’ Morleigh caught the attention of several choreographers and producers of that song.

As a result, she was hired for the Zoo TV Tour as a Choreographer and belly dancer. Besides all these, the beautiful Steinberg is also equally appreciated for her choreography in the films like Stoker’s Dracula; Earth Girls Are Easy and Wild Orchid. In 1993, the beautiful choreographer queen found her King husband David Howell Evans, aka The Edge, during the Zoo TV Tour. Reportedly, the U2 band hired her as a choreographer and on-stage belly dancer. However, that was the reason both became so close to each other.

Morleigh and The Edge have continued their dating relationship for more than nine consecutive years. But finally decided to be together for a lifetime. And married on 18th June 2002, in a small civil service at the registry in Dublin. However, that small wedding ceremony was just for a formality as they celebrated their marriage in a grand French Wedding way with 200 guests in France.

Spending a blissful and happy marital life with U2’s lead guitarist, our choreographer moved to Ireland to raise modern dance popularity. Hence, from 2002 to 2021 and still counting, the couple is undoubtedly living a charmed life together.

As said earlier, Morleigh and The Edge were in a married relationship for more than 19 years; both are also the proud parents of two children. The eldest daughter Sian Beatrice Evans was born in 1997 in LA, whereas Levis Evans was born on 25th October 1999.
